Sophia has over 20 years experience in leading grassroot efforts, team leadership, event coordination, community development, financial literacy, fundraising and awareness campaigns.
For her many efforts in 2016 she was given the “Yellow Rose of Texas Award", given by the Governor as the highest honor for women for contributions to the community.
She is CEO of courier service L2E Industries, an Amazon delivery service partner, as well as Trustworthy Consulting and Learning to Exhale Restoration Strategies. She's an international license holder in the Church of God in Christ, and is a board member of Allies Against Slavery and the Facilitator for the Texas Human Trafficking Survivor Leadership Council.
Sophia is the author of two books Sophia I’m Back and Taking My Life Back: 9 Week Study Guide detailing her own journey of survival and helping others to overcome their adversities.

Assists ministries, nonprofits and businesses with professional development, capital campaigns, inspirational forums and marketing/business strategies. Offers workshops and consulting on the personal level - to help youth in crisis and assist them after times of abuse - and organizational level - produce events, raise funds, and promotion and marketing.
Sophia has spoken at numerous conventions including the Global Human Sex Trafficking Prevention and Awareness Virtual Summit, Texas Association Against Sexual Assault Conference, and Light the Way Human Trafficking Conference.
Empowerment Driven by Knowledge (EDKC), a non-profit multidisciplinary cultural arts organization, produces cultural, educational, and artistic programming geared toward those affected by domestic violence/sexual abuse, rebuilding communities one family at a time and celebration of the African Heritage within Waco and Central Texas.
