Raised in the south, Jerome endured child abuse, child sex trafficking and child pornography before joining the United States Marine Corps at the age of seventeen and proudly served his country. After enlistment he attended college and graduated to work in the Biotechnology sector.
Today, Jerome is an advocate and survivor leader and heads the “Trafficking in America Task Force” which works together with local, state, and congressional lawmakers and trains law enforcement, medical and mental health professionals to help bring an end to human trafficking.
Over the years he has worked with members of congress on draft legislation that both provides for the needs of victims of human trafficking and child exploitation and mandates harsher penalties for those who traffic and exploit human beings.
Writing is his passion and it keeps him in touch with the wealth everyone holds deep inside their hearts and minds. Most recently, Jerome has been a Staff Writer and Columnist for Communities Digital News.
Working together with local, state, and national lawmakers and training law enforcement and health professionals to turn around human trafficking.
He is advisor to several groups such as the Utah Attorney General’s Office, the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), and the International Survivors of Trafficking Advisory Council (ISTAC).
Jerome shares his experiences in the hope that those suffering in silence will find the courage to speak out and share their voices.
