As an American survivor of human trafficking, Jennisue Jessen knows the depths of trauma a body can endure. She also knows the possibility of overcoming a childhood of slavery and using that experience to serve others.
Jennisue and her husband KJ founded Compass 31, an international NGO addressing human trafficking through prevention, restoration, and leadership development.
She puts the love of Christ into practice by empowering through an extensive and caring restoration process that is one of the highest-performing in the field. She builds these once-broken survivors into catalysts for change.
She trains national leaders to prevent human trafficking through education. Jennisue is a Presidential Appointee who served a 2-year term on the U.S. Advisory Council on Human Trafficking, where she, alongside a group of peers, helped to inform federal counter-trafficking policies.

Jennisue’s prevention program is based on a tool she developed and launched in 2013 called the Priceless Cube. It is currently being used to prevent trafficking in 43 countries and is available in 23 languages.
Operating survivor restoration homes and support programs in five countries, Jennisue’s Compass 31 is a global leader for empowerment of girl survivors.
A former consultant to the White House, Jennisue is available to consult to, and speak at events for, nonprofits, clubs, churches, healing homes, and organizations choosing to make an impact on the cause.

If you are traumatized, you cannot keep it to yourself or bury it. This will only lead you deeper into the dark. Instead, we must be honest about our past and our pain so that we can find Jesus in it. When I found Jesus in it, I found He was enough.
I did not know about God and did not care that he existed. All I cared about was having more money. It was easy to use girls because men would pay a lot to use them. Then, I learned that all humans are Priceless, made in the image of God. The girls I was exploiting were Priceless…Even more startling was that I was Priceless. The idea that I was known and loved and forgiven has changed the trajectory of my life forever.
I have nightmares every single night. I have been mad at God for allowing me to be trafficked. Today, I discovered that while God did not prevent my exploitation, Jesus was with me in every single moment. God is with us in every good or challenging thing we go through. Big or small, He never leaves us.
